Privacy policy

This policy covers what von Euler LLC (operating Basis Radar, "we") collects from visitors to basisradar.com, why, and what your options are. The short version: we collect as little as possible, we don't run ad trackers, and we do not sell personal information.

What we collect from visitors

Browsing the site requires no account and no personal information. Our infrastructure providers keep standard, short-lived server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and operations. We do not currently run a website-analytics product; if we add one, it will be a privacy-respecting page-view counter and we will name it here.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by Beehiiv, our newsletter provider, which processes it on our behalf. Every message contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list.

Accounts and billing (when offered)

If you create an account, we will store your email address and the product-usage records needed to operate metering and subscriptions. If you purchase a paid plan, your payment details will go directly to a payment processor; we will store transaction records, not card numbers. Canceled accounts and their data will be purged on a stated schedule, retained only as required for legal and tax obligations.

Cookies

The public site does not set tracking cookies and carries no third-party ad or social scripts. Account features, when offered, will use a session cookie strictly for sign-in.

Data about properties and organizations

The housing data on this site describes properties, organizations, and program participation drawn from public government records — it is not data about site visitors. Business contact details shown in the application come from filings those businesses made with government agencies. To report an outdated or incorrect record, contact us and we will annotate the correction with provenance.

Who we share with

No one, except the service providers needed to run the site: our hosting provider (Hetzner; the server is located in the European Union), our DNS/CDN provider (Cloudflare), and our newsletter provider (Beehiiv). Each processes data only to provide its service. We disclose information if required by law, and we will notify affected users of any breach involving their personal information without undue delay.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it — email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights. California residents: the categories collected are those described above (email address and usage records for subscribers/account holders); we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.

Changes

When we make a significant change to this policy, we will refresh the date at the top of this page and, for subscribers and account holders, take reasonable steps to provide notice.
